MASKUMAMBANG is an experimental documentary about the resilience of urban communities facing floods using innovation, mitigation, and mysticism.

This film highlights the unique ways that the residents of Kampung Poncol in South Jakarta use to predict, respond to, and recover from the floods that frequently hit their village.

MASKUMAMBANG is the result of a four-year collaboration between local residents and the Rame-Rame Jakarta research team, exploring the realities of living with flooding and identifying strategies for adapting to climate uncertainty and inadequate infrastructure.
